The AVIEN Guide to Malware is now available in Europe as well as in the US. I don't know if "OS X Exploits and Defense" (also for Syngress) is available in the UK yet, but I have my copies. The book on botnets by Schiller and Binkley to which I also contributed has been available since early 2007. Martin Overton's review is available here. Lots of other great papers on that site. Some of my equally wonderful reviews for Virus Bulletin et al are, by kind permission, available here. Of course, I haven't reviewed my own books. Not a bad idea, though. ;-) I'm talking to Syngress about editing and contributing to another project on mobile malware: I haven't made my mind up on that one.

Professor Hossein Bidgoli's 3-volume "Handbook of Computer Networks" project for Wiley seems to have been released at the end of 2007 without my noticing. I've only received a copy of the volume in which my chapter appears: bit skinflintish there, guys....

I'm working on a series of white papers, several of them co-written with Andrew Lee, for ESET, the anti-virus company. Papers on rootkits, heuristic analysis, phishing, spam, botnets and so on are aready available. Andrew and I also presented a paper on the effectiveness (or not) of phish quizzes (phizzes?) at the Virus Bulletin 2007 conference in Vienna in September. That's now available, also by kind permission, along with an AVAR conference paper on testing methodologies for anti-malware products here. Since January 2008 I've been part of the Research team at ESET, so lots of other material is coming out there.

I was also contributing articles a couple of years ago for syndication at http://watersidesyndication.com/inbusiness/ but that initiative seems to have died altogether. However, I'm still on their author list, so I'll leave the link here for the moment.

My wife and I have contributed some security-related material to an e-book put together by Terry Freedman, an educational consultant of considerable experience, called “Coming of Age – an introduction to the new world wide web” 2nd Edition. Terry's site is a great education resource, but I don't know when the book is coming out..
